Gene Hopkins talks about our Bowhunting Heritage

Our Bowhunting Heritage Didn’t Come Easy – Stories of trials & tribulations, successes, and failures that got us what we enjoy today.

In the beginning all that it took was one man, coming home from the nightmares of a civil war to ignite the flames and begin building a new sport of bowhunting from the ground up. Those flames spread, although slowly at first, across America as our true bowhunting pioneers spread the new sport of hunting with bow & arrow across the country.

However, in what might have been the most significant moment in our sport’s history, it was the chance encounter of 4 individuals which allowed the meeting of ancient culture with modern man that allowed our sport to enter its period of greatest growth and influence.

Let’s review those moments and more, all of which allow us to enjoy the great sport of bowhunting which we enjoy today!
