The latest Custom Heritage Takedown to come out of the shop I built for my Pops @darlinggreg.
It’s a short limb 58” AMO, 50#@28”. He wanted the sister riser of his good friend @hallsteadbrian Heritage. So we have a natural phenolic I-beamed Zircote/Osage wavy flare riser with walnut and white accents and overlays. I also added a bear paw pin into the lower riser. The limbs have Bocote veneers back and belly with G-10 reinforced sheep horn tips. He’ll be picking it up tomorrow and hopefully taking some nice deer with it this year!

Fresh out of the spray booth; 58” (short limb), 53#@28” Heritage Takedown Recurve.
The elements in this bow are 100% inspired by @jackcarrusa and his character Raife Hastings in his Terminal List book series. Raife is a former Navy Seal, expert shooter (who prefers the classics like a 1911), and bowhunter who has dabbled with the stickbow. His family is from Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and moved to Montana following the Rhodesian Bush Wars in which his father was part of the famous/infamous #sealousscouts.
The riser is a natural phenolic I-beamed Bubinga with Wenge wavy flare riser (both woods originating from the area of Zimbabwe) with green and black accent stripes and cap overlay. The limbs have a Rhodesian Brushstroke Camo( the camo of the sealous scouts) fabric veneer on the back, Juniper (native to Montana) veneers on the belly, Bubinga overlays, and G-10 reinforced buffalo horn tips. To top it all off it’s finished in matte so there will be no glare or reflection from your stand/blind/hide.
